#CFACON22 heads to the northeast to be part of the historic culture and context of the Freedom Trail and the birth of our Country. Boston, Massachusetts is our destination and our host venue is The Westin Boston Waterfront. You won't want to miss this opportunity to join your colleagues, bring your family and celebrate with some of the most historic cultural aspects of our country. Come join the historic celebration of the 4th of July and stick around to take in a Boston Red Sox game (schedule permitting), walk the wharf and a whole lot more. Convention will begin on Thursday with traditional Board activities, exhibitor orientation and the official opening of the event. Friday and Saturday will continue to bring stimulating education and challenging networking with colleagues, and Friday also features the very popular Guest Social. The CFA is taking you and your family to one of Boston's most popular areas on Friday evening of this year's event. Enjoy networking on Griffin's Wharf with food and drinks, and travel back in time to 1773 to be part of the famous Boston Tea Party. The Salem Witch Museum examines one of the most enduring and emotional events in American History…the Salem witch trials of 1692. The museum consists of two presentations. The first presentation provides an immersive look into the events of 1692. Visitors experience the drama of that dark time though thirteen life-size stage sets, figures, lighting and narration as they are witness to the web of lies and intrigue of the Salem witch-hunt. Get your tickets to the museum here! The second exhibit, Witches: Evolving Perceptions, is a tour focusing on the meaning behind the word witch and evolution of the image of the witch over time. This presentation focuses on the European witch trials and the background leading to the Salem witch trials. In addition, this presentation discusses the emergence of the stereotypical witch and the frightening phenomenon of witch-hunting. Please note: The museum presentations depict dark and tragic history. Some of the visuals may not be suitable for younger audiences. Only a broom will get you there faster. Carrying 149 passengers and cruising at up to 33 knots—the Salem Ferry allows you to spend less time getting to Salem and more time exploring there. The vessel is 92 feet long and features two decks, with booth seating inside, plus a galley and three restrooms. The second deck includes a partially enclosed space with benches and tables as well as a large open-air space for soaking up the summer sun.
