EVENT OVERVIEW

Building on the momentum gained through Executive Retreats in Philadelphia and Oklahoma City, this event establishes a time for members to gather with the Board of Directors in casual networking and exploring business with like-minded professionals.  It brings together the meeting strength and visioning process for the Association along with regional exploration of member businesses and slices of the context of the area.  Anticipated events include:

  • Get-to-know Chat Session
  • Tour of the US Naval Academy
  • CFA Board and Task Group Meetings (Open)
  • Tour of Bartley Corporation
  • Tour of Modern Foundations
  • Optional Tour of Construction Site/Cement Plant

This event will include two dining opportunities as a group and sponsorship opportunities exist for any local, regional or national vendor.

Hotel information will be made available soon.  Individuals will be responsible for their own travel plans, hotel room and will participate in an average meal/drink/event fee based on attendance to be invoiced by the Association.

Non-member participation is unavailable.  For interest in CFA membership and participation, email Skye Kelley, CFA Member Engagement.

LOCATION DETAILS

Naval Academy tours are a must-do! This group tour will walk the Yard’s scenic walkways by foot and learn the history of this hallowed space. You’ll enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a midshipman and the rich and tumultuous history of one of the greatest fighting forces on Earth!

Bus transportation will be provided.

Baltimore, Columbia and Annapolis, Maryland is an important part of the Mid-Atlantic region. Rich in coastal history, politics and our military, it is also home for a large number of CFA members. Two of these, Bartley Corp and Modern Foundations, will be toured and time will be spent with their leadership and learning of their regional experience.

The new American Concrete Institute Resource Center in the Mid-Atlantic offers on-demand access to all ACI certification programs, hands-on training, and educational offerings for the trades, contractors, inspectors, designers, and engineers.  It is available for partnering organizations and the Concrete Foundations Association is a national sponsor of the ACI/CFA Residential Foundation Technician Certification.  The ACI Resource Center helps meet the increasing demand for ACI knowledge and is a great fit for new-hire onboarding, employee education, and customer or member training. All programs are led by instructors with 20+ years of experience in the concrete industry.

The venue will offer space for the meetings on Thursday.
