The 911 hotline: Technical defense & code clarity

When technical inquiries arise or code questions impact your project, the 911 Hotline coordinates access to a suite of industry resources focused on technical clarity and compliance. Through this program, members have access to a contact list of suggested technical consultants, and when your questions relate to codes, specifications or standards, gain access to the engineering team at the American Concrete Institute for review. Members also have access to the CFA Technical Committee, ensuring each challenge is met with input from seasoned professionals and authoritative sources.

NEW: Direct Access to ACI Engineering

A recent enhancement to the 911 Hotline is the ability for members to connect directly with ACI code engineers for in-depth reviews of technical codes and standards. When your inquiry involves codes, specifications or industry standards, the program coordinates a connection with ACI’s engineering team, ensuring your questions receive informed review and interpretation from the source.

• The Benefit: Get authoritative clarification on ACI 332, ACI 318 and other critical standards directly from the source.
• The Process: Submit your code-related inquiry and we escalate it to ACI Engineering for expert review, aiming for a 48-hour turnaround.

The 411 Hotline: Business intelligence & peer networking

Running a successful concrete business means thinking beyond today’s pour. The 411 Hotline is your pathway to business intelligence and peer networking. By connecting you with experienced CFA members and curated business resources, this program helps you navigate operational decisions, explore best practices and learn how others in the industry are overcoming shared challenges.

CFA maintains an active listserv of over 50 members that respond to these inquiries, so you are getting real tips from real professionals in the field. Use the 411 Hotline to tap into the collective experience of your peers, access solutions to everyday business questions and strengthen your foundation for growth.

2. Identify the Crisis: Is this a technical dispute, business related question, code question or jobsite emergency? Give us as much information as you can to help us get you a great response.
3. Get Support: Receive guidance from CFA technical staff, a referral to a vetted industry consultant or an escalated response from ACI engineers.
